How we produce our coffee
Reviving traditions and adding value
Since 2005, through a program to relaunch the Ibo coffee crop, production has been encouraged with the aim of producing high-value coffee associated with tourism, environment conservation, and improved income for Ibo’s coffee growers.
In 2012, the Ibo Coffee Producers Association (APCI) was created, and since 2021, it has been collaborating with UNIDO within the framework of the "MAIS VALOR" project, funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and led by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MADER). The project aims to contribute to the development of inclusive and sustainable agricultural value chains.
APCI currently has 170 members and it’s headquarter is the historic Fortim de Santo António building on the island of Ibo.
